OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have identified a man shot to death Wednesday night on Oklahoma City's northeast side.

Police say 45-year-old Jerry Clark was backing his car out of his driveway near N.E. 28th Street and Martin Luther King Ave. around 6 p.m. when someone shot him.  Witnesses say they saw four men running from the scene just moments later.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after to find Clark fatally wounded in a white Cadillac.  Police say they don't have a possible motive in the shooting.

Felix Covurrubais was working on a home in the neighborhood of the shooting when the murder was committed. He heard the shot ring out.

"I heard the shot," said Covurrubais. "I [was] scared."

Residents in the neighborhood say they were not surprised to hear about the murder.

"It's a shooting in the hood," said neighbor Christian Thomas. "I'm used to it."

Others reflected about how often shootings happen in the area.

"It's not every day somebody gets shot and killed, but a lot of people get shot over here,"  neighbor Tony Prien said.

Just a few weeks ago, police investigated another shooting in the same neighborhood.

"The cops is (sic) over here all the time," said Thomas. "They might as well live over here."

Around 9 p.m., representatives from the Medical Examiner's Office arrived, and they transported the body from the scene shortly before 10 p.m.

Police say they don't have description of the shooter or shooters.  They only know four black males were seen running away.  Anyone with information should contact the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
