CATOOSA, Oklahoma -- Catoosa Police say a hit-and-run driver was cited for damaging a fire hydrant with her car in front of the Hard Rock Casino.

The collision caused hundreds of gallons of water to shoot up in the air.

Police say the female driver confessed after hearing about the incident on News On 6 Saturday.

Police say the woman was driving a pickup truck that was hauling a trailer when she took the corner too short, hitting the hydrant. The driver then took off, police say.

Crews had a difficult time shutting off the water because of recent construction in the area.
