OKLAHOMA CITY -- The American Red Cross is already answering the call for help from areas hit hard by Wednesday's deadly severe storms.

A dozen Oklahoma disaster action teams headed to Alabama and Mississippi Thursday to provide aid and many more are expected to follow on Friday.

The deadly tornadoes destroyed one Red Cross chapter in Alabama and heavily damaged another.

News 9 is teaming up with the Red Cross and Homeland to help provide relief for storm victims.

Beginning on Monday the Homeland Store in Moore will be accepting donations for the Red Cross. There will also be a banner for anyone to sign that News 9 will send to the southeast.

Next week Homeland will also donate 10 percent of its gasoline sales to the Red Cross.
