MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- A man accused of killing his girlfriend and her unborn child may have to undergo a third psychological evaluation.

Eric Knox faces two counts of murder.

Wednesday, his attorney asked a judge to do a more extensive evaluation to determine if Knox is competent enough to stand trial.

"I've outlined that the victim was supposed to have supernatural powers, that they were hearing voices through the T.V., that an anchorwoman was somehow talking to them. That the lady who was killed was supposedly telling him that he was God and she was the devil," said David Slane, Knox's attorney.

Knox is accused of killing Stacey Beesley in her Midwest City apartment in 2009. Beesley was pregnant.

Knox's attorney said his client has undergone two competency evaluations, but each lasted an hour or less. A judge will make a final decision Thursday.
