TULSA, Oklahoma -- A woman that was pulled from her burning home Monday has died, according to the Tulsa Fire Department.

The 54-year-old woman was inside her home in the 1500 block of E. 17th Place when a fire broke out in the front part of the house.

Tulsa fire crews were called out to the mid-town address after neighbors called 911.

Fire officials say the woman attempted to escape from the back of the home when the fire started, but couldn't get out because the home was locked up pretty tight.

Fire crews were able to finally reach her after knocking down the fire and kicking in the door.

A male relative of the victim was on scene attempting to assist but was detained for hindering rescue efforts.

Fire investigators have determined the fire was accidental.
