Sheriff's Deputies Continue Search For Assault, Kidnapping Suspect

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department and Oklahoma City police are searching for a man they're calling a violent felon who is wanted on various charges including kidnapping and assault.

Deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Michael Colbert in the 2100 block of N.E. 22nd Street.

The suspect ran and deputies, including a K-9 unit and task force, searched the area for Colbert near N.E. 23rd Street and MLK Avenue. He was last seen just east of that area in a field. Deputies established a perimeter but were unable to locate Colbert.

The 44-year-old is facing a warrant for rape, sodomy, kidnapping, and assault and battery.
