Blanchard Man Killed In Single Car Wreck

GRADY COUNTY, Oklahoma -- A 30-year-old Blanchard man was killed when his car struck a concrete pier near State Highway 39 in Grady County just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers say Adam W. McCuistion was driving westbound on Highway 39 about four miles west of State Highway 79 when his 1994 Mazda left the roadway to the right for an unknown reason.  McCuistion overcorrected and ran off the roadway to the left for about 60 feet, striking the concrete pier.

The driver was pinned in the car for about 45 minutes until he was freed by Chickasha EMS and Naples Fire Department.

He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries.

McCuistion's condition at the time of the accident is listed as apparently normal. Cause of the collision is listed as unknown.

He was not wearing a seatbelt.
