EDMOND, Oklahoma – Many parents and guardians are wondering when school will be back in session after six snow days in the past two weeks.
School crews are busy trying to decide if conditions are safe for students to return to class. Many bus drivers face hazardous road conditions once they begin driving deeper into neighborhoods, leaving wheels literally spinning.
Transportation crews around the metro do not just consider whether both main roads and side streets are safe enough for bus drivers. The other major consideration districts have is the temperature.
If it is too cold for kids to be waiting at the bus stop or walking to school, that will be a major factor in the decision of whether to call off Friday classes.
