OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Fire Marshal has lifted the burn ban in the city.

The ban was enacted January 26. Last week's blizzard provided enough moisture to lower the fire risk in the metro area.

The fire marshal said it is still illegal to burn without a permit. People who want to conduct controlled burns must contact the Oklahoma City Fire Marshal's office at (405) 297-3584 to obtain a burn permit and guidelines.
