Reward Offered In Midwest City Homicide

Oklahoma City police and Midwest City police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and/or indictment of someone connected to a homicide that took place on the city's west side last week.

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma City police and Midwest City police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and/or indictment of someone connected to a homicide that took place on the city's west side last week.

According to police, a $3,000 reward is being offered in the death of 29-year-old Shamikia Shawndrea Walker who was gunned down in her driveway at 328 W. Silverwood on the night of January 24, 2011.

Anyone with information can contact the Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers at 235-7300 or the Midwest City Police Department at 739-1306.

"We have had twelve investigators assigned to this case since it occurred," said Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes. "We continue to run down leads but still need the public's assistance in bringing Ms. Walker's killer to justice."
