Medical Examiner Releases Julie Mitchell's Autopsy Report

The medical examiner's office released the autopsy report for an Oklahoma City mother found beaten to death in her home. According to the report, Julie Mitchell died of multiple blunt force trauma to the head.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The medical examiner's office released the autopsy report for an Oklahoma City mother found beaten to death in her home.

According to the report, Julie Mitchell died of multiple blunt force trauma to the head.

Mitchell had multiple lacerations and fractures on her face and scalp. She also had a fractured bone in her neck, a fractured rib and abrasions on her right hand and chest.

The 34-year-old was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of her death.

The medical examiner's office originally refused to release the report stating it may have interfered with the ongoing investigation and subsequent prosecution."

Oklahoma City police said they have taken DNA samples and interviewed numerous people in the case, but investigators have still not named any suspects or persons of interest.

Police said Mitchell's husband, Teddy, was in Arizona when she was killed. Teddy Mitchell is a well-known bookie and gambler.
