YUKON, Oklahoma -- The City of Yukon has extended a city-wide burn ban until the city receives a significant amount of rain.
The city first issued the burn ban at the beginning of January, but fire officials said they decided to extend it because conditions remain dry and temperatures are expected to be above normal this weekend.
The city is asking that residents do not burn anything outside. Agricultural burning is prohibited.
A burn ban is also in effect for Oklahoma and Lincoln Counties.
