OWASSO, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma's new governor is making good on a campaign promise to spend more time in Northeastern Oklahoma.

Mary Fallin has been in office just two weeks, but told the Owasso Chamber of Commerce Monday she's hit the ground running.

Fallin said she's working on a legislative agenda, her State of the State address, and dealing with a $500 to $600-million budget shortfall.

"We have advised all of our state agencies to give us where they would cut spending to make government more efficient... more effective. We're also looking at ways we can eliminate duplication of state services," said Governor Fallin.

Fallin says keeping jobs here and attracting new employers to Oklahoma is also a top priority.
