My 2 Cents: Charles Barkley Still Needs To Visit OKC

I dialed up the Oklahoma City Thunder game with even more anticipation than usual tonight because it's TNT's game of the night.

Network coverage against NBA Superstar Dwight Howard and the Magic, but most importantly I wanted to hear what TNT commentator Charles Barkley would say.

Wouldn't you know it, he was off tonight.

It hadn't dawned on me until Jenny Carleson wrote about it in today's Oklahoman, but it's been five years since I ambushed Barkley at the All Star game after he'd trashed Oklahoma City during an interview with Chris Paul.

Now in all fairness, Sir Charles was a good sport about it all, and seemed very sincere when he committed to pay our fair city a visit before that first Hornet's season was out.

Hard to believe that was in 2006.

We offered him airline tickets, even a private plane ride if that wasn't good enough.

Thanks for the reminder Jenny.

We are going to pester Charles Barkley until he comes to Oklahoma City this season.
