OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mary Fallin will be inaugurated as Oklahoma's next governor on Monday, but on Sunday she attended an inaugural prayer service.

Fallin attended the inaugural prayer service at Crossings Community Church in northwest Oklahoma City. Fallin said she chose Crossings because it's her home church where she and her family worship on a regular basis.

"Prayer and her faith is a big part of her life, and it was important for her to allow everyone to join in and celebrate with her as she prepares to become governor of the state of Oklahoma," said Aaron Cooper, Governor-elect Fallin's spokesperson.

The special afternoon service featured several religious leaders from around the state and contemporary Christian singers also from Oklahoma.

Fallin is scheduled to take the Oath of Office Monday at noon.

News 9's coverage of Fallin's inauguration will begin at 11:58 a.m.
