OKLAHOMA CITY -- Parents and teachers concerned about the future of Mid-Del schools packed a special board meeting Tuesday night.

It was standing room only as parents and administrators discussed their options after voters defeated a $191 million bond issue by a narrow margin in December. It would have paid for four new schools and consolidated others.

"I'm in favor of presenting it again and doing a better job of education all the citizens," said parent Ed Miller.

The district is considering asking voters to approve a different proposal. The earliest an election could be held is July.
