Oklahoma City Actress Stars In Broadway Production of Spider-Man

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A singer and actress from Oklahoma City has won a starring role in the Broadway production of Spider-Man in New York.

T.V. Carpio plays Arachne, a mythical spider creature. The actress who originated the role left after she was hit by a weighted rope during a preview and sustained a concussion.

The Spider-Man production has plagued by problems. During a performance in December, Spider-Man double Christopher Tierney, fell 30 feet from an elevated platform and suffered serious injuries that included a skull fracture and broken ribs.
