ENID, Oklahoma -- Narcotics detectives in Enid wrapped up a long-term investigation with the largest seizure of crystal methamphetamine in the police department's history.

Detectives arrested 47-year-old Zenaido Mayorga Wednesday, Dec. 15. They started monitoring him and the importation and distribution of methamphetamine and cocaine a year ago.

Investigators said while conducting surveillance on Mayorga's home, they observed people coming and going throughout the day. Detectives said they also purchased cocaine directly from Mayorga.

Police arrested Mayorga Wednesday in front of his house on two outstanding felony arrest warrants for unlawful delivery of a controlled and dangerous substance. They searched him and found one ounce of crystal meth, a half ounce of powder cocaine, and several hundred dollars in cash. When detectives searched Mayorga's home, they discovered 18 more ounces of meth and another ounce of powder cocaine. They also found equipment and packaging for drug distribution.

Detectives estimated the value of the drugs they seized at $60,000.

"This was definitely a large blow to this distribution operation," Sgt. Rick Tanner said.

Detectives are still investigating the case and are trying to identify other people who may have worked with Mayorga.
