School Bonds, Taxes On December 14 Election Ballots In Oklahoma

Oklahomans in 28 counties will vote on school bond issues, tax proposals or city council elections today.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans in 28 counties will vote on school bond issues, tax proposals or city council elections today.

School bond proposals make up a majority of the ballots and must pass with 60 percent of the vote. All other elections require a simple majority.

Sample ballots are available at each county election board office and will be posted at every precinct polling location on election day so voters can review them before casting their votes.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

ATOKA COUNTY

  • Coleman School District I-35 - $425,000 bond proposal (construction)

  • Countywide - one percent sales tax (hospital authority)

BLAINE COUNTY

  • Geary School District I-80 - $1,840,000 bond proposal (construction)

CANADIAN COUNTY
