Are we getting too worked up about this phasing out of Christmas in favor the term holiday? U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe's plenty worked up about it, he refused to ride his horse in Tulsa's parade since they changed the name from The Christmas Parade to the Holiday Parade of Lights.
You know, I just don't remember when it suddenly became offensive to call it a Christmas parade.
When was that...2002, 1995...1985?
I challenge someone who's offended by Christmas parades to please write in and tell me when and why that dawned on you. I must have missed the headline.
Was there a moment when Christians ganged up on everyone and said "Don't celebrate Hanukkah or Ramadan or Kwanzaa or anything else this month?"
It's ridiculous.
Shoot, I'd even go with the "Christmas and Holiday Parade," but to pretend Christmas isn't the focus of this time of year is offensive to the vast majority of Americans who believe it is.
And to merchants who want to straddle the fence, maybe we should buy our Holiday gifts from you, and our Christmas gifts from those who still recognize Christmas.
Leave Kelly Your 2 Cents, tell us where you're from, and he could read your comments on air.
