93-Year-Old OKC Man Struck, Killed By Oncoming Vehicle

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man has been struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle Thursday morning.

According to police, 93-year-old Werner A. Gubelin was traveling westbound on McAuley Boulevard near N. Meridian when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

Gubelin was taken to OU Medical Center where he later died. The driver of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries.

Police said it appears both drivers were wearing seatbelts during the crash.
