OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Salvation Army has decided to step out of tradition this year and go for the early bird special.

They saw how people were lining up early every year for the usual Thanksgiving dinner and went a different route this year, serving breakfast. Instead of the traditional turkey and all the trimmings, scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage were served up.

The Salvation Army decided to fill the need for an earlier meal after noticing the number of organizations serving a traditional meal.
