Oklahoma's Unemployment Rate Holds Steady

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's unemployment rate remained unchanged for the month of October.

The state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held steady at 6.9 percent, which was also the rate for October 2009. Approximately 121,500 Oklahomans were out of work.

The national unemployment rate also remained the same in October, holding at 9.6 percent. Nationally, about 15 million eligible employees cannot find jobs.
