NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Police released the 911 call after a 13-year-old boy found his mother and three year old brother shot to death in Norman just east of Lake Thunderbird. The family is in shock and trying to come to terms with this tragedy.

Wendy Lee Foster, 41, and her son, Tripp Foster, were shot to death Thursday afternoon at a house near 180th Avenue S.E. and Alameda Street. Foster's 13-year-old son found the bodies.

Norman 911: What's the address of your emergency?

Son: My mom is lying on the ground dead I think.

911: Okay, what's your address?

Son: 310 S.E. 180th

911: Why do you think your mother is dead?

Son: There are two shotguns laying on the ground, and there's blood splattered all over the floor and there's a 20 gauge shell laying on the ground.

Neighbors said the home was occupied by Wendy and Tim Foster, and they have only lived in the home for a couple of months with their three sons who are 3, 11 and 13 years old.

Police said they are not actively seeking a suspect. However, police are "working the crime scene at the residence with all the care and thoroughness of a homicide," according to a Norman Police press release.

Captain Tom Easley confirmed firearms were involved.

"We found firearms at the scene. We're still trying to determine exactly what happened inside the house," Easley said.

Foster's husband reportedly showed up at the home after the shooting and was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. It was unclear why he was taken away in an ambulance but he did not appear to be injured.

Neighbor John Eller lives across the street and was home all afternoon, but said he didn't know anything was wrong.

"Nothing, nothing. That's what is so strange about this whole ordeal. If there were gunshots, I find it strange that I couldn't hear it," Eller said.

Wendy's Brother Eric Wright is still shocked by what happened.

"I just talked to her the other day. she was telling me how happy she was for her husband. He just got on a new plumbing job," Wright said. "Nobody knows what to think so it's a very tragic thing."

Now all Wright and his family can do is wait till police conclude their investigation and lend support to Wendy's husband and two other sons. But its knowing that he will never see his sister and nephew again that breaks his heart.

"She's a loving caring individual, she's a wonderful person...He liked Thomas the Train. He was a good kid," Wright said.

The family will be establishing the Wendy and Tripp Foster Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses at the McClain Bank in Noble, 213 N. Main, P.O. Box 1169.

The Little Axe Schools Superintendent Barry Damrill said the 13-year-old boy and his 11-year-old brother both attend Little Axe schools. Damrill said counselors will be available on Monday.
