OKLAHOMA CITY -- After the heavy thunderstorms this morning that brought some hail to the Oklahoma City metro, a relatively calm afternoon is in store.

Rain will continue to push southeast this afternoon with cooler air behind the cold front that brought the storms. Skies will be partly cloudy this afternoon with highs only reaching into the upper 60s and lower 70s this afternoon.

Tonight will be quite chilly with lows dipping down into the mid to upper 40s.

Wednesday we will have a recess from the storms with partly cloudy skies and highs getting into the upper 70s with light winds. But, the chance for storms returns Thursday through the weekend as a low pressure system in the southwest U.S. pushes east.

The best chance for storms will be Friday with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
