OKLAHOMA CITY – SoonerPoll.com's latest poll numbers shows the biggest race in Oklahoma could be over before voters even head to the polls.
Mary Fallin is leading Jari Askins in the race for governor 54 to 38 percent.
In the past, people have been focused on how women will vote, but in this race it's all about the men.
"The advantage goes in a 2 to 1 favor for Mary Fallin," said NEWS 9 pollster Bill Shapard.
The poll numbers also show changes in one of Oklahoma's state questions on the November ballot.
Right now, 28 percent of Oklahomans support state question 744 which would require the state legislature to increase funding for each public school student in the state to match the amount spent on students in surrounding states. That's a big difference from the polls two months ago where 65 percent were for the measure.
"We've seen not only Republicans, but high-profile Democrats like Brad Henry, like Jari Askins, come out against 744," said NEWS 9 pollster Bill Shapard.
