ENID, Oklahoma -- Authorities say a road grader broke a gas line near a plant in northern Garfield County, forcing officials to restrict traffic.

Officials say no one was hurt when the grader struck a 4-inch high pressure gas line near the Oxbow Plant, which produces petroleum byproducts, about 9 a.m. Monday.

Officials evacuated the plant and stopped vehicle and train traffic in the area.

Emergency Management Director Mike Honigsberg told the Enid News and Eagle that there was no explosion or structural damage to the facility. Honigsberg says the wind helped disperse what natural gas escaped into the air.

Police Lt. Eric Holtzclaw says Oklahoma Natural Gas shut off the gas line about 5 p.m. and traffic was allowed to resume.
