All Lanes of I-35 to be Opened over OU-Texas Weekend

OKLAHOMA CITY -- In anticipation of heavy traffic on I-35 over the game day weekend, all lanes in construction areas will be opened starting Thursday.

Contractors in Pauls Valley and Ardmore said all lanes will be opened beginning Thursday afternoon and will remain open through the weekend.

The projects will resume next week with temporary, short-term lane closures.

No. 8 OU will play No. 21 Texas Saturday afternoon in Dallas.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokesperson David Meuser said the department tried to plan construction work around fall football season and the holiday season.
