OKLAHOMA CITY -- A Moore police car ended up in a ditch while chasing several burglary suspects Wednesday.

The officer spotted a burglary suspect's car and gave chase. Four suspects ditched the car in a field near the big water tower in Moore and took off on foot. When the officer jumped out of his patrol car to chase them, his car started to roll into a ditch.

"It appears when the officer exited his vehicle hastily to begin a foot pursuit of the two fleeing suspects, the car didn't make it into park and rolled off into the culvert," said Moore Police Lt. Greg Anderson.

The officer wasn't injured.

Police arrested two suspects moments after they ran inside the First Baptist Church of Moore.

Officers tracked down the other two who tried to run away as well.

No names have been released.
