OKMULGEE COUNTY, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa woman is dead after a high-speed wreck at about 4 p.m. Saturday in Okmulgee County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Mary J. McGoldrick, 52, died of massive injuries after her car struck three steel fence posts and a utility pole.

McGoldrick was driving at a high rate of speed northbound on alternate U.S. Highway 75 just north of Happy Camp Road when her 2000 Jaguar went left of center, overcorrected and left the roadway to the right, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The car went through a ditch, striking a steel fence post then a utility pole. The Jaguar rolled about three times before hitting another fence post. It rolled again hitting a third fence post, then came to rest 23 feet north of the last fence post on a barbed wire fence.

McGoldrick, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and extricated by Beggs Fire Department.

Troopers say the Tulsa woman's condition was apparently normal at the time of the accident. Excessive speed is listed as the accident's cause.
