Poverty Rate Rising

OKLAHOMA CITY -- New numbers show more Americans are falling into poverty as the economy tries to rebound.

The Census Bureau reports about one in seven Americans is living in poverty. That's about 43.6 million people.

When broken down by state, Mississippi had the highest share of poverty at more than 23 percent.
