Police Searching for Man Who Tried to Steal Weed Eater from Sears

Oklahoma City Police larceny investigators are searching for a man who tried to steal a weed eater from a Sears.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Police larceny investigators are searching for a man who tried to steal a weed eater from a Sears.

The man was caught on surveillance video at an area mall. He is seen grabbing a weed eater on display near the entry to Sears and walking out the door without paying.

Security confronted the suspect outside Sears. The man dropped the weed eater, got into a brief altercation with the security guard and fled the scene in a maroon vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male, 35 to 40 years old, 5'7" and about 160 pounds.
