Police Say 1 Dead in Oklahoma City Shooting, Suspect Arrested

Police have arrested 42-year-old Wayne Roger Smith in connection to an overnight shooting on the city's southeast side.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Police have arrested a man in connection to an overnight shooting on the city's southeast side.

According to police, 42-year-old Wayne Roger Smith surrendered at about 11:15 a.m. Police said they believe Smith shot and killed the victim inside the home.

Police say officers were called at about 1 a.m. Wednesday to investigate reports of shots being fired and found the man dead inside a home at S.E. 10 Street and Fairmont Avenue.

Police said they believe Smith may have known the victim.

The motive for the killing remains under investigation.

The victim's name and details of the shooting have not been released.
