OKLAHOMA CITY – Narcotics agents have arrested a Putnam City School District second-grade teacher and her husband on drug charges.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics confirmed teacher Malisa and Chris Thomlinson were arrested Thursday at their home in Yukon. Malisa Thomlinson is a teacher at Arbor Grove Elementary School.

An OBN spokesman said agents spotted marijuana plants growing on the couple's property during a routine surveillance flight. The OBN makes regular flights this time of year because plants are mature and easily visible from the air.

When agents arrested the couple, they found two mature marijuana plants outside, and one pound of processed marijuana in the couple's home.

The Thomlinsons have been charged with cultivation and possession of the drug. They're both being held in the Canadian County jail.
