Mounds Man Dies From Injuries In Motorcycle Wreck

TULSA COUNTY -- A Mounds man died Saturday afternoon of injuries received in a motorcycle wreck Friday evening, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He had been admitted to a local hospital in critical condition following the single-vehicle accident.

Ellis Warren Brown Jr., 43, was thrown about 122 feet from where his 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle struck a concrete culvert.

Brown was westbound on 181st Street South just east of 33rd West Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. when his motorcycle ran off the left side of the highway and struck the culvert, according to OHP.

The vehicle traveled on about 80 feet from the point of impact. Brown received head trunk, arm, leg and internal injuries, the trooper states. He was not wearing a helmet.

Brown's condition at the time of the accident is listed as unknown. Cause of the collision is listed as driver inattention.
