OKLAHOMA CITY -- Residents affected by the May 10-13 tornadoes and storms have only three more days to register for financial assistance.
The last day storm victims will be able to register for Individual Assistance from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is Friday, July 23. Friday is also the last day to apply for low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Hundreds of Oklahomans have already applied for the nearly $7.5 million in state and federal funds.
Oklahomans in Carter, Cleveland, Creek, Garvin, McIntosh, Okfuskee, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie and Seminole counties can register by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585. Phone lines will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Survivors can also register for assistance online by visiting www.DisasterAssistance.gov. Smart phone and other mobile device users can register for assistance at m.fema.gov.
