TULSA, OK – Oklahoma's oldest known centenarian was honored in a special celebration on Sunday.

Martha Berryhill, the only remaining allottee of the Muscogee Creek Nation, will celebrate her 110th birthday on Monday.

The Northeast Active Timers, or NEATS, honored Berryhill in a special ceremony at the Harvard Avenue Christian Church Sunday.

The organization, which holds the event every year on the first Sunday after the Fourth of July, says it's a celebration of hope and freedom.

"You think of what they have had to go through in their hundred years of living," said Richard Zigler, Executive Director of Northeast Active Timers.

Berryhill lives with her daughter.

A Bartlesville man, who Is turning 102-years-old, was also honored Sunday.
