Man Accused Of Stealing Car Hit By Vehicle On Tulsa Street

TULSA, OK --- A man suspected of stealing a car was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after he was hit by another vehicle, Tulsa Police said.

Police said the owner of the stolen car was following the suspect westbound on I-244 when the suspect exited at Memorial and wrecked the car. The suspect got out of the vehicle and tried to run up the embankment of the eastbound entrance of I-244, but was hit by another car.

Officers said the suspect was thrown about 30-40 feet and landed on his head.

EMSA said the suspect is in his 40's.  He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
