Oklahoma City Man Arrested for 2 Counts of Rape, Assault and Battery

A man was arrested for two separate attacks and sexual assaults on women after being interviewed by investigators from the Oklahoma City Police Sex Crimes Unit.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man was arrested for two separate attacks and sexual assaults on women after being interviewed by investigators from the Oklahoma City Police Sex Crimes Unit.

Investigators said David Nathan Higgs, 51, offered a female a ride from a gas station near downtown on March 27, 2010. He drove her to the area of SW 7th and Robinson where he choked her and then raped her.

The second attack occurred on June 25, 2010, when Higgs offered another female a ride from a gas station near downtown. He drove her to a nearby location where he slapped her numerous times before raping her.

Higgs was arrested on two counts of rape in the first degree and aggravated assault and battery.
