OKLAHOMA CITY – The IRS will open its doors for a problem-solving Open House Saturday, June 5.
IRS staff will be available on site or by telephone on June 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help taxpayers.
IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers will be open at the following locations:
Lawton
2202 S.W. A Avenue
Oklahoma City
55 North Robinson Avenue
Tulsa
1645 S 101st E Avenue
"Being open to help solve taxpayer problems on a weekend proved popular," said IRS spokesman David Stell. "We hope that those who missed the Saturday opportunity in May, and who are experiencing a problem filing taxes, paying taxes, or resolving a tough tax issue will be able come in for help on June 5th."
Taxpayers will be able to receive help with Issues including notices and payments, return preparation and audits will be addressed at the Open Houses. Assistance with offers-in-compromise will also be available.
Likewise, a taxpayer struggling to complete a certain IRS form or schedule can work directly with IRS staff to get the job done.
Taxpayers may also call the IRS's toll-free number, 800-TAX-1040, that day for assistance.
