OKLAHOMA CITY—Yukon's Taste of Louisiana Crawfish and Living History Festival is set to take place this Saturday on June 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The family oriented event celebrates the history of the infamous Chisholm Trail with a Cajun twist. The day is planned to be filled with living history re-enactors of the Old West Cajun foods Cajun and Country live bands, crawfish racing, several old fashioned contests, a geocache hunt, Kid's Kreative Korral exhibits and various entertainers.

A $500 prize will also be offered at the Golden Cowpie Treasure Hunt.

The event will take place at the Kirkpatrick Family Farm 1001 Garth Brooks Boulevard located one half mile north of the Interstate 40, Exit 136. Admission is free.

Hosts of the event are The City of Yukon and the Chisholm Trail Historical Preservation Society.
