TAHLEQUAH, OK -- Cherokee County authorities have recovered four firearms believed to have been stolen from a man who found dead earlier this month.

Undersheriff Jason Chennault said the firearms were allegedly stolen from Robert L. Audd, whose body was discovered in a wooded area near his home in Teresita on May 18. One Audd's renters, William James Christopher Lewis, has been arrested but not formally charged.

Three firearms already had been found, and a Tulsa County Sheriff's office dive team recovered the fourth gun. Chennault believes the bolt-action shotgun was used to inflict a head injury to Audd.

Audd was reported him missing May 13, and his jeep was discovered near Peggs the next day.

Authorities allege Lewis argued with Audd over unpaid rent.
