So sorry I haven't been able to blog recently. It's CRAZY here! Communications are iffy at best. Internet service is sporadic and you never know when you can send stuff. I have so much to tell you and a short time to do it!

Let me start with the latest news! Our flight home appears to have been canceled. It all has to do with the strike by British Airways. Flights are not frequent from Entebbe, Uganda. You can't just find another flight home. After a frustrating and somewhat disappointing evening, I think our crew is set to fly home a couple of days later than expected. (Yes, family, it looks like mommy won't be home until Thursday early morning.) We are hoping AND praying, things will change for the better… the strike will be resolved and I'll be back on Oklahoma soil sooner rather than later.

Now some great news. Adrian Peterson has arrived. Repeat… AD has landed! He made it to Atiak in northern Uganda just in time for my morning live shot. Despite serious jet lag and a lot of travel, he has joined our Pros for Africa team. After the live shot back to Tulsa, I recorded a second interview with AD, Roy, Mark and Tommie. It was unbelievable! They are all four SO nice and SO into this trip. They're taking more pictures than I am! That's a lot!

The work today involved more medical clinics for the doctors. They saw some 500 patients. I was told, this is the first time an American doctor has ever even visited their area. So it was a very productive day for the physicians. Saint Monica's Tailoring Centre Atiak. With a new well there, once the school opens, they will be set. The girls from Atiak are already meeting in nearby buildings but they are anxious to be in their new school by the end of the year.

My mind is racing now… there's so much more to share but my computer time is up. Before I go, a great big "shout out" to my roommate Amy McRee who has been a wonderful support during this journey. Also, our Executive Producer, Bryan Eckert has been guiding our work throughout the week. And last but not least, Mark McBride has been capturing all the pictures, keeping up with every second of the action! Great job team. I'm really looking forward to putting this all together and sharing the good news of Oklahomans changing lives!

Gotta go…LeAnne Taylor
