OKLAHOMA CITY -- IRS officials said tax returns will not affected by Thursday's event involving a plane crashing into an Austin IRS office building.

Officials told NEWS 9 the location of the deadly plane crash in Austin is not the same location where tax returns are processed.

"This event did not affect or impact tax processing or other operations related to the tax filing season," said an IRS official Thursday in an email to NEWS 9.
