1 Dead Following Home Invasion in NW Oklahoma City

Police say one person is dead and a suspect is being sought following a home invasion in northwest Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Police say one person is dead and a suspect is being sought following a home invasion in northwest Oklahoma City.

Police said 25-year-old Stevon Hammond died after being shot during some kind of altercation. According to police, 21-year-old Braylon Timmons was at the scene and was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 25-year-old Brandon Timmons, Braylon's brother, on a first-degree murder count. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts should immediately contact 911.

Investigators are interviewing other people who where at the scene before police arrived.

Hammond is the grandson of Oklahoma County Commissioner Willa Johnson.

"I am shocked and saddened to learn of the death of my grandson, Stevon Hammond," Johnson said in a statement. "Please continue to pray for Stevon, our family and friends, during this very difficult time." 

A motive for the shooting has not been determined.
