Idaho Woman Accused of Perjury in Oklahoma Receives Suspended Sentence

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Idaho woman accused of perjury in front of an Oklahoma City jury in 2008 received a suspended sentence Wednesday.

Aletha Vaught was called to testify in court following an investigation into her sister, Judie Hansen, for killing her ex-husband in 1980. Vaught is accused of lying in court. Vaught entered a blind plea last October and was given the three year suspended sentence today.

Vaught will now go back to Idaho but as a convicted felon. Meanwhile, Hansen was convicted in the murder and was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.
