New Manufacturer Brings Jobs to Ardmore
ARDMORE, Oklahoma -- More jobs are coming to Oklahoma. The Ardmore Development Authority announced an air filters manufacturer will be coming to Ardmore, creating more than 200 new jobs.
Flanders Corporation plans to hire 150 employees immediately, than increase to 250 employees over the next two years.
The new facility will be in the former Best Buy building located in the New Horizons Industrial Park, just south of Highway 70.
According to Kevin Boyd, Vice President of Operations for the Flanders Corporation, "the building and the location of Ardmore, were the two key factors in our decision. We are already working to renovate the building to meet our production and distribution needs. We plan to be in production by this April in order to meet the demand of our customers."
The company has scheduled a job fair for January 26 at the Southern Oklahoma Technology Center. The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
"The positions we are hiring for range from entry level to highly skilled," states Brenda Davis, Flanders VP of Corporate Human Resources. "Many of the positions need a relatively high level of job skills. We feel confident that the skills of the area workforce will meet our production needs."
