Prescription Drug Cards Offers Discounts for Edmond Residents

Edmond residents will soon be able to receive big discounts off the retail price of prescription drugs.

EDMOND, Oklahoma --  Edmond residents will soon be able to receive big discounts off the retail price of prescription drugs.

Beginning January 15, Edmond officials will make free prescription drug discount card available to residents through a program sponsored by the National League of Cities. The cards can save about 20 percent off of commonly prescribed drugs that are not covered.

The card may be used by all Edmond residents and has no restriction based on age, income level, or existing health coverage. The cards will be accepted at approximately 30 Edmond pharmacies and at more than 59,000 participating retail pharmacies across the country.

Residents can pick up a card at one of the following locations:

- City of Edmond Utility Customer Service office
- Multi Activity Center (MAC) and the Senior Center in Mitch Park
- The Hope Center
- The Ministries of Jesus
- Edmond Mobile Meals
- UCO Wellness Center and Nigh University Center
- Edmond YMCA, both locations
