Standoff Ends in Northwest Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Streets around N.W. 20th Street and Council Road are back open after a standoff ended early this morning.
Police were called to a home on 20th Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday night. A woman reported there was a man in the house threatening to harm himself, said Sgt. Gary Knight.
Police made contact with the man via telephone and then heard a gunshot.
The bomb squad and tactical team were called out. The bomb squad robot entered the home, but was unable to locate the man.
Police entered the home around 5 a.m. and found the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
