DEL CITY, Oklahoma – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place outside a crowded metro Wal-Mart.

Del City police said two vehicles pulled up to a parking lot at about 4 p.m. near Interstate 40 and Sooner Road. Police say 19-year-old Jamal Tobias Colbert was killed when he got out of his car to approach the other vehicle and the suspects opened fire.

Police tape surrounded the area as shoppers were busy in the Wal-Mart parking lot just a short distance away.

Three male suspects fled the scene in the shooter's car but were later located in Midwest City. Investigators have all three suspects in custody; 19-year-old Kaleb Glover, 18-year-old Micah Davis and 19-year-old Michael Kenebrew. Kenebrew was not with them and police believe he was the shooter. He turned himself in Tuesday morning.

Police believe the shooting was the result of something that happened Saturday.

"There was an incident that occurred in Oklahoma City on the south side that may have led to some altercation with the people involved in this shooting. That's still under investigation and not confirmed," said Del City Police Captain Jody Suit.

The three suspects were interviewed and booked into the Del City Police Department jail on charges of murder.

Police also say the victim and the suspects were gang members, all from the same gang.
